BEYONCE - DRUNK IN LOVE

Beyonce' kilt it at the Grammy's last night, didn't she? In honor of Queen Bey, I decided to make a shirt with her catchy phrase "Surfboard".  Now, I know they are available on her website, but why not DIY!

I had an size 2XL boys Hanes sweatshirt, that I cut off the collar, my trusty stencils and white fabric paint.

I used a ruler to find the center and put on the shirt to line up where the letter should be.

I used the cut out letters to get a visual and to chalk the spacing.

One letter at a time, I began stenciling. I took my time as to not let excess paint bleed through.

Here's me finishing up the last letter while Yonce' plays in the background.

Voila!

Surfboard, Surfboard, Surfboard
Graining on the wood, graining, graining on that wood
I'm swerving on that, swerving, swerving on that big body
Been serving all this, swerve, surfing all in this good good

Me rockin' my creation!

FEATHER BIB NECKLACE

Remember Kourtney Kardashian rockin' this Camille K feather bib necklace in this post? Well, they done messed up now, cuz Imma make this.

Let's see, I have felt, black turkey feathers, (from old DIY project), and I have black ribbon.
I used a pattern from my previous project and pinned it to the felt and cut it out.

I did a dry run and placed the feathers on the felt before I glued them.

Before gluing the feathers, I laid them out according to size. I put the longest feathers at the bottom and hot glued the first feather in the center.

Continued gluing row after row. Be careful to not get the hot glue strings on the feathers.

Added rhinestones to cover the tip of the feather quills.

Finished the look with black ribbons.

Can't wait to rock it!
Looks expensive right?
