QDOBA

Have you ever been to the Qdoba Mexican Grill? If not, you must go! I go to the one on Rt. 22 in Union, NJ.

They have the best Mexican food. It's so good, you'll wanna slap your mama! Sike, don't do that, but it is good. They make everything fresh right there. I always get the 3 cheese nachos with chicken, salsa, cheese sauce and sour cream for about $9.25 with a drink.

The restaurants are clean and the atmosphere is nice. They have a flat screen and play lite music.

They done messed up now because they are opening up one 2 minutes away from my house!!!!!!!!!!!

*Update: I stopped in the Qdoba in Watchung, NJ and the whole staff greeted me when I walked in the door. Very friendly. I got my 3 cheese nachos to go and wasn't sure how it would set up once I got home, and to my satisfaction it was excellent. Kudos to Qdoba!!!

DIY LEATHER BIB NECKLACE

Bib necklaces are all the rage. Look at Kourtney Kardashian making a statement with this bold feather bib necklace.

I decided to make my own, not feather but leather. I had a piece of black felt from a previous project, an old leather coat that I cut the sleeves off, glue gun, ribbon and my sewing kit.

*didn't use the glue gun*

I cut off a piece of leather, sketched a bib template, pinned and cut the felt.

I measured and cut about (17) 2 inch strips of leather.

I folded each strip and sewed the first piece at the bottom and continued upwards.

I needed another piece of leather to hide the stitching on the strips and to have a finished look.

I placed the "C" shaped leather on top of the strips and added ribbon to each side.

Here's the final product.

Not too shabby, huh?

Rockin' my bib at work!

HOLD ON, WE'RE GOING HOME

Drake's much anticipated new CD "Nothing was the Same" dropped today.

In honor of the release, I decided to make a T-shirt showcasing his hit song "Hold On, We're Going Home. I pulled out my trusty utensils, chalked the center of the shirt and laid out the letters.

I took my time, because I didn't want the paint to bleed through under the stencil.

If I Instagram this picture, do you think Drake will see it and "Like" it?  #fingerscrossed

I got my eyes on you
You're everything that I see
I want your hot love and emotion
Endlessly, I can't get over you
You left your mark on me
I want your hot love and emotion endlessly

Cause you're a good girl and you know it
You act so different around me
Cause you're a good girl and you know it
I know exactly who you could be
Just hold on we're going home
Just hold on we're going home
It's hard to do these things alone
Just hold on we're going home

Coach Patricias Legacy Bag

Once again, I'm in Unique and I do my normal rounds, when I get to the purses I spot this classic hunter green Coach Patricias Legacy bag.  Priced at $29.99, I ain't beat, so I put it back.  Fast forward two weeks later, they had a 50% off sale and to my surprise, the purse was still there, yay!

Retails at $298
There was just one thing I didn't notice until I got home; the purse smelled like cigarettes. So, of course, I google "how to remove cigarette smoke from leather".  Use baking soda or newspaper. I used both. The newspaper absorbs the odor, so I put it in each section, even under the flap. Took a garbage bag and placed the baking soda and the purse inside.  After two weeks, the odor lessened and I used a new garbage bag. After a month, the smell was very faint.

Can't wait to rock it in the fall!

3.1 PHILLIP LIM for TARGET

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target launched Sunday, 9-15-13 and the night before I set my clock for 7:45 a.m. to get there at 9:00 a.m. when it opened. I woke up at 7:00, which was good, because they actually opened up at 8:00. As I'm nearing the store around 8:15 a.m., the parking lot isn't packed, like I thought it would be. I get a cart and I noticed clothes in everyone's hands but no bags. Just my luck, here comes the Target Associate with a cart full of bags. Before the Associate could put them on the racks, people just took them out of the cart, including me!

I grabbed 4 bags, the Tote with Gusset in black, the Tote with Gusset in taupe, the medium satchel in taupe and a mini version of the tote in taupe.

And then I went for the clothes. At 8:20 a.m., there were still a decent selection in all sizes.

Although, the highly coveted light blue pants weren't available at this Target.

I went to look for the scarves and this is what I found.

Luckily, I asked a shopper about how many scarves were available and she said "They went fast, but I have the leopard print and the "Boom" scarf, do you want the "Boom" scarf it?" I was like "Jeah!"

Shout out to Ryan Lochte.

FASHION OG'S

With the numerous fashion shows happening during fashion week, I thought I'd do a DIY project in honor of the designers. I've always had a love for fashion.  I can remember watching fashion week when I was younger. Thinking back, it aired around midnight on a non-network channel.  Now-a-days you can watch a fashion show live on the Internet.

So, I stopped by Unique and bought these 4 frames for $2.12.

I searched the internet for images of famous designers and printed them out on a regular printer.
I chose black and white images of Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Guccio Gucci, Cristobal Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Gianni Versace and Christian Dior for a more vintage look.

I used the picture glass and folded down the paper to mark where to cut.

I chose to showcase Coco, Yves, Gianni and Dior.  Whaddya think?

I stopped by Shoprite to pick up a few groceries and in the floral department, they always have a bucket of flowers marked reduced. For a $1.99, I think they add a pretty touch to this arrangement.

DIY WIRE JEWELRY

Aren't the little "love" necklaces cute? I want one like this from Tina Tang.

$115

But, you know me, I'm like, "I can make that".  So, I google "DIY wire love necklaces" and found this post from Amy of H is for Homemade.

I followed her instructions step by step. I'm like, bet, I already had the pliers, "O" rings and chains from a previous project, all I need to do is buy 16 gauge wire and lobster claw clasps, so I hit up A.C. Moore.

I worked backwards just like she did, which seemed strange at first, since I'm used to writing from the left. But with wire it works better.

This was NOT easy at all!  I used a screw to make the letter "o" and to make the loop in the "L".

I had to take out a couple of links from the chain since the letter "e" sits lower than the capital "L" and added a clasp. Here's the final product.

Mine's not half bad.

*Update:  I made another one. I'm getting better.*
